Mica De Guzman is a Post-Bar Law Clerk at Moon Law Group. Ms. De Guzman represents employees in all aspects of employment litigation, including wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA representative actions involving claims related to overtime and minimum wages, meal and rest break violations, improper wage statements, and unfair business practices.
Ms. De Guzman earned her Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Manila University School of Law and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Privacy Law, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. She is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E). She is licensed to practice law in the Philippines and is pending admission to the California Bar.
Before joining Moon Law Group, Ms. De Guzman served as Legal Counsel at SAP in Australia and New Zealand, supporting commercial transactions. She also served as Legal and Data Privacy Officer at Brankas, a fintech company in Southeast Asia, where she led legal strategies on open finance and cross-border compliance. Earlier in her career, she practiced litigation and corporate law in the Philippines, representing clients in civil, labor, and construction disputes. She has also volunteered with various human rights initiatives.
She is fluent in English and Filipino.
